This the second edition of an adaptation of Richard Matthew's peg basket. I agree, it's an expensive build for something that you could buy cheaper at the 2 dollar shop but I wanted something that was small, space efficient and curvy. The pegs also slide out cleanly and don't catch on the peg basket.
A little time on openSCAD and there you have it - the umbrella!
The other changes are that it has some drain holes and it's enclosed at the bottom to add some weight and stop insects nesting underneath. The second edition also includes a minimum angle for the exterior curve so that you can print cleanly without supports or scruffy overhangs.

Notes:
My original peg basket lived inside for a while and was printed in PLA. One week outside and it started to warp in the sun and heat. Consider printing in something more thermostable than PLA if you intend on keeping it outside
The openSCAD contains an angle variable [line 28] to set if you want to print at a different angle to avoid overhangs.
I would still recommend using a pigtail hook rather than a standard hook, it really helps not falling off the line. The STL accommodates a 6mm diameter hook.
