Premise: water collects onto the lattice and has both a greater surface area, better evaporation, and less pooling around your glass to drip on you or your guests.

Notes:
Thin sturctures so a z-hop is recommended, might need to increase print temp and deal with oozing to generate lattice for some nozzles. Printer also on my work's Prusa and came out flawlessly.
Stringing Clean-up
Printing small structures with lots of retraction inducing lattices (assuming PLA) means possibly printing hotter, slower, w/o retration, or some combination. You'll often be left with some or a lot of stringing. The best way to clean it up is to use a Butane Torch, ignite the torch, and very quickly run it over the surface.
I prefer a method similar to airbrushing in which you start off the part, move across it in one pass, and off the part. Simply: Turn on torch, move on, across, move off, turn off torch.Hope that helps.
