As if there weren't already enough Scrub Daddy sponge models out there, my wife didn't like any of them. She wanted a simple design that would sit on the counter behind the sink - not in the sink, or over the sink. But one that wouldn't end up looking all gross if water sat in it for a while.
This is a 2-part design. The upper part holds the sponge and has a drain at the bottom. The lower part is the drip tray - it doesn't hold a lot of liquid, but holds enough so that the sponge doesn't sit in the water. The two parts nest together, but are easy to take apart for cleaning and draining the tray (the holder simply sits inside the tray). The "Sponge Dock" wording was for fun, and is only on one side, so if you don't want to see that - just turn it around.
I hate using supports, so this was built as shown, and required no supports.
