The solution
The part consists of two parts, the strap and the holder, which are combined with a button-hole mechanism which allow easy storage of your probes at the back of your multi meter.

The strap around the multi meter
The strap can be adapted to different multi meters. Printing this from TPU or other flexible filament gives the needed firm grip, so the ring doesn't slide of the device.

Below is a description how to adapt the strap easily to the dimensions of your own multi meter.
The probe holder
The holder itself consists of a dock for the point of the probe and the clamp, where the long part is hold down. When the probes are inserted, the whole part flexes and allows easy insertion, while securing the parts safely.

The distance of the dock and the clamp are variable, so you can adjust it to your probes. Most of them have collar, which is used to avoid that, the probes slide out to the back.
It tested probes with a distance of 22.5 mm which work fine. The maximum distance, as shown in the picture above is 30 mm. But there is an option below, for you to modify the part to allow even longer parts.
Create a probe holder for your own multimeter
A custom strap
The strap needs a tight fit around your multi meter. Even though TPU is flexible, it is not flexing enough, that just one part provided here, will fit every multi meter out there.
I suggest two options for a custom strap: You design the strap completely from scratch and include two holes with 11 mm diameter, 24 mm apart. The strap should leave 1,6 mm room for the holder at the back of the multimeter. I also recommend a general width of the strap of 1,6 mm and a tear drop design in the holes for supportless printing.

Second option for a strap:
You sketch most parts of the strap with a tool or even the slicer. Leave a 25 mm wide opening at the back of your strap. Then, you add the provided SimplifiedStrap model in the slicer: right click -> add part -> load ... The SimplyfiedStrap part is 25.6 mm wide and already includes the 1.6 mm distance to the back and the teardrops and should easily fit into your model. It is shown in dark green below.

The probe holder
If your probes have a distance longer than 30 mm, you'll need to adjust the probe holder.
Measure the length from your probes to the collar, see pictures above.
Load the Holder_noClamp.stl into the slicer. Right-click -> add object: ClampOnly.
Position them with the measurement tool to get the desired distance. Enlarging the base with an addition albox should be straight forward.

Printing
Print both parts from a flexible filament of your choice. I made good experience with Shore A 90 TPU. Unfortunately the actual semi transparent filament shown in the picture is no longer sold, but reads "Kimya TPU-R PE1019TQ"
Assembly
Just click the buttons on the holder into the holes of the strap and you are done!
