I was never able to make ART - UNTIL NOW!
Everyone can now create ART by attaching this nose to anything!
You can use:
- Double sided sticky tape
- Magnets
- Be aware, the magnet hole sizes scale together with the model (also in Z)
- Alternatively, add custom magnet hole sizes by subtracting a cylinder in the slicer
Dimensions:
Model at original scale is ~10 cm large for easy rescaling (1 scale = 10cm, 0.6 scale = 6cm etc.)
How to print:
- I recommend using variable layer height for the top half
- i've used 0.1 to 0.2 adapt and then made the entire bottom half 0.2 size
- If your overhangs are good, it should be printable even without support.
- Feel free to use support though, the underside of the nose it not very visible anyway.
- Magnet holes are of exact dimensions - to be press fit. Might need to adjust hole tolerance according to your magnets or fiddle a bit in post processing
- Make sure to use enough support, perimeters or utilize other features to prevent having gaps in the top layers
Spongebob memes are timeless
Rant:
Usually everything i design and print has a function, a purpose and is made to use plastic as sparingly as possible. I suck at creating anything artistic. I don't like waste and paperweights!
Yet popular prints prove practicality's petty priority!
Fine! Just this once… I created something completely useless! Something that will make me regret the wasted plastic of every make! If you dare print it, you better post a funny picture worth the waste!
Who even reads these long descriptions?
…BTW creating this in Fusion 360 took me WAY too long! So much work to get the nose shape just right! How can people make entire faces? Entire artworks? Its beyond me!
