This is a weighted hold down tool for soldering SMD components.

The arm and axle are made from 1/8" bar (i think 3mm will work fine) the arm was sharpened and bent to the desired shape and glued into the pivoting arm. I ream the holes out with a dill to clean them up and get them to the right fit ( use one step up drill size for the pivoting arm holes so its loose). afterward just fill the cavities with something heavy, I used BB's but it could be lead shot, sand, small nuts & bolts whatever you have on hand.

Notes:
I got some stringing on the top of the threads due to an unsupported overhang in the model but it clipped right out and doesn't interfere with the threads at all.
