This model is a Wemos D1 and WLED powered status light. I used a tightly spaced LED strip to get four in each. You will need to solder to the bottom of the strip to get the wires to tuck in. I used hot glue to keep the strip in place. The adhesive on the strip itself was not enough. Two M3 screws keep the case closed.

I use a 3M command strip to mount it to the wall outside the door with a long USB cable running under the door.
