I printed the folding cribbage board with a hinge. Both the original and the split design with the dovetail connection are brilliant. I had printer errors printing each. I thought it would be easier to hack off the elegant hinge solution, square up the edge and make holes for 10 mm x 2 mm magnets to connect the two pieces.

I purchased metal pegs that were also magnetic so I glued some more magnets into the storage compartment.

I embossed the surface of my print as I am giving this to a friend.
Since I bought 100 10mm x 2 mm magnets for the closure and connections I put two in the peg storage. The pegs I bought were magnetic so they stay in the space.

I found that setting the flow rate for inner and outer walls to 96% flow makes prints of precision parts like nuts and bolts work properly.

If the magnet holes are a little small, put the magnet in place and heat it with a soldering iron. Keep a wooden stick or something handy to hold the magnet in place until the plastic cools.

I hacked the hinge off.
Split the board where the hinge side rounded edge started.
Filled the gap where the hinge was.
Subtracted 10 mm x 2 mm holes from the mating surface.
