This is a remix of Eirik Jeppesen's RackStuds for M6 10"/6" racks.
I ran into an issue where some of the pieces of the rack set I was using (Natalie T's Modular 10 Inch Server Rack) blocked the hex inset that the original stud needed. This is a (really shoddy, but works) simple extended version where I stretched the non-threaded portion of the stud to be 9mm longer. This means that mounted things that have both front-of-rail and back-of-rail clamp-style configurations can be secured with these.
All notes from Eirik's original instructions are appropriate for this one, and this remix does NOT have the nuts, only the extended stud, so please ensure you grab those from the original build.
Rail Note:
The rails in the make picture are from McBig's 10 inch server rack, simply because I didn't think I needed the side-mount screw holes. Of course I might regret that later.
Scaling Note:
I retained the original scale of the initial stud for consistency, but found (based on Jason's comment on the original) that 98% scaling in the Y and Z directions prior to any rotating / cloning was perfect mix of snugness and smooth threading of the nut, so I highly suggest trying this if the screw-on function feels too tight.
