Motivation
I need nightstand lamp to read bedtime stories to my son but the GU10 lamp is too bright and annoys him. Also it's a way to show off those vividly colored filaments.
Printing
There are overhangs, so supports are required. The ring is extra beefy to resist the temperature of the LED. Squeeze it a little bit to mount it on the lamp. I have included 2 versions, a shade length of 30mm and alternatively a 50mm shade. I think the longer one does the job better.
Note: if your lamp is not exactly 50mm in diameter you may want to scale the model a little bit. Luckily Prusa Slicer 2.6+ helps you with that if you don't want to fiddle with the CAD model.
No vase-mode?
I tried to use vase-mode but currently vase mode rules out supports and vice versa. The bottom part should be printed as a normal part and the shade should be in vase mode. Currently we are stuck with an ugly seam.
Here is the CAD model: OnShape Link
