Summary
This design is for a Raspberry Pi 4 with an assembled aluminium heatsink case and a Raspberry Pi HQ camera. There a two variants available - the difference is that the HQ camera is mounted 180 degrees compared to the other variant. Please either print the _A or the B parts. If there is no "" then that part is used for both variants.
You can mount this case on a mini tripod or on a microscope stand as shown in the pictures. Besides the printed parts you will need:
- 1x Raspberry Pi 4
- 1x Raspberry Pi HQ Camera
- 1x Flexcable 20 cm (25 cm will also work)
- 1x Aluminium Heatsink Case for Raspberry Pi 4 (Pimoroni/No Name)
- 4x DIN912 M2.5*6 screws
- 2x DIN912 M2.5*8 screws
- 1x tripod or
- 1x microscope stand

Print Setttings: rp4_cage and rp4_fastener
rp4_cage and rp4_fastener use Prusa default settings.




Print Setttings: hdcam_cover
hdcam_cover uses "Suport on build plate only".


Print Setttings: lateral_plate
For lateral_plate I enabled ironing on all top surfaces.


Print Setttings: lower_cover
lower_cover uses 60% infill and support everywhere and a resolution of 0.10 mm.


Please see the picture how to clean up all support material in lower_cover.

Slicer setttings: upper_cover
upper_cover uses 60% infill, "supports everywhere" and a resolution of 0.10 mm.


Please clean up the support structures as seen on the picture.

Assemble the box
Start by assembling the Flexcable for the camera and then attaching the Aluminium Heatsink Case for the Raspberry Pi computer.

Plug the lateral_plate ionto the side and then attach the rp4_fastener to the Raspberry Pi.

Then slide in the lower_cover as shown on the picture.

It should now look like this:

Insert the Flexcable into the slot of the rp4_cage. Tweezers wil help you to do this. Then slide the Raspberry Pi into the case. Only slight force should be required to do this. If this is to difficult, please check your 3D print for obstacles

The Raspberry Pi 4 should fit nicely into to the box.

Now connect the Raspberry Pi HQ camera to the Flexcable.

Twist the Flexcable as shown on the picture and then fix the HQ camera to the case using four DIN912 M2.4*6 screws.

Check that the Flexcable is not trapped somewhere.

Now attach the hdcam_cover and fix it using two DIN912 2.5*8 screws.

Slide in the upper_cover as seen in the picture.

Check if the upper_cover fits in nicely. This concludes the assembly of the case.

Disassemble the box
Use a sceewdriver to lift the upper_cover a bit.

Lift the upper_cover a bit more.

Now lift the upper part of the upper_cover.

And also on the other side.

Use a screewdriver to shift the lateral_plate. Please note that there is a edge where the screewdriver blade is pointing to.

Now slide the Raspberry Pi out of the box.
