The use or not of supports is a matter for the model maker, I printed it without, but the eaves were a bit flaky, so you may want to use supports there

A coat of primer and then acrylic paints to the ridge line, chimney pot, chimney capping and window and door followed by a black wash to add some weathering.
the walls and roof were then covered in brick and slate papers to complete the effect.

I had a space on a shelf layout which needed something in it so sized the hut to suit using standard door heights to give me an approximate height and then set a pitched roof on it.
