This is a replacement part that fits on a Vansky mobile phone holder. It has a 17mm ball end that mates with an iOttie Qi charger, providing a much better mounting option than either iOttie's suction cup or vent clip.
This piece is a drop-on replacement for the original gooseneck's head. Unscrew the original, replace it with this one, and reuse the set screw.
if you have a different mount than the iOttie that you'd rather use, and it has a ball socket on the back, you can simply adjust the diameter of the ball in the OpenSCAD source to custom fit your own preferred phone mount.

How I Designed This
I have a phone holder that plugs firmly into my lighter socket, with a gooseneck that's a perfect fit in my car. I really like the gooseneck, but the original holster isn't exactly convenient and didn't fit my new phone. I really liked my wife's Qi charger, but it's only available with a terrible vent-clip mount (that falls off constantly) or a terrible suction cup mount (that blocks vision). I wanted to join the two to enjoy the perfect mount, but the gooseneck's ball is 13mm while the iOttie's ball socket is 17mm, so it wasn't a simple "swap one mount for the other".
My first attempt was to print a hollow sphere to wrap around the existing 13mm ball, but that part deformed under the heat and pressure of a car's interior, and it wasn't durable. After looking closer at the gooseneck, I discovered the ball end was a simple plastic part held to the end of the flexible steel by a set screw. A few simple shapes in OpenSCAD and I had a fully functional replacement part.
