A 3D printable rosary that you can make yourself! All parts are printable except the string.
Parts List
- 53 normal beads (round or elongated)
- 6 large beads (round or elongated)
- cross
- 60+ inches of #9 (ish) twine, string, or cord
For the twine, you can purchase white or colored twine at any craft store, or use whatever you have available. The recommended size is #9, which is about 1mm diameter. Other sizes will probably work, though you might need to scale the model to go larger. Use a segment at least 60 inches long, and I recommend adding a little extra (maybe 70-80 inches) for your first try because you don't want to come up short.
Instructions
Use Our Lady's Rosary Makers instructions for a corded rosary.
You'll probably need to print a tool to help make the knots.
Printing Tips
All the pieces are designed to be easy to print, without supports. (Beads have flat surfaces and avoid steep overhangs.) Despite moderately low bed adhesion on the beads, I was able to print the beads with no support and no brim (PLA). (This is great because you don't want to trim a brim from 60 beads.) Normal print settings are fine (0.2mm layer height, 15% infill or similar).
