I built this thing for my fursuit sewing projects. Placing the intake directly next to the sewing machine will remove a lot of particles from the air. The other section can be under the table or even further away to have less noise from the fan. The filter can be removed and cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or discarded.

The filter and fan section are printed in two parts and glued. This makes it possible to print them flat on the build plate without any support (except for the fan section) and much faster. If you want to print them in a single piece, the blender file is included in the downloads. The air duct is simply glued onto the mount.

Additional parts needed:

1. The fan I used is a Sunon MEC0381V1-A99, but any 120mm and 38mm thick will fit.
2. Filters that can be used are 2-4mm thick
3. The air duct I used has 125mm diameter
4. A 12V 1A power supply, I have one with selectable voltages from 3 to 12, the fan needs at least 6V to spin
5. A coaxial power connector matching what your power supply offers. I used these https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07D5Q5PPC/ and they will fit into the opening of the casing.
