This is heavily inspired by the acrylic Anycubic spool holdert hat I got with my first printer and needed more for my toolchanger.
I like the design because of it’s simplicity and that the spools stay in place while printing.
This fits spools of up to 200mm diameter and 80mm or the wider for up to 120mm wide spools.
If you print the pipe then you will not need any hardware either. Screws are optional as it is a tight fit.
Print Settings
Resolution: 0.2mm
Infill: 10%
Filament: PLA
Notes: Use 4 walls.
Post-Printing
Screws Are optional because the fitting is quite stiff.
4x M3x18mm screws
4x M3 nuts or squarenuts
32mm Pipe
I use a 32mm PVC pipe that I bought at a local hardware store for another project.
You can glue the caps on the ends but the tight fit again makes it unnecessary.
I also include a Pipe stl with incorporated endcaps if you want to print it. There is a possibility that the printed pipe breaks because of layer orientation so I recommend the pipe.
