This was one of my earlier attempts at design in order to learn the use of Fusion360.  It has been quite the learning experience and looking back now I have spent a lot of time and used complicated ways to achieve what I was trying to accomplish when it could have been done in much simpler ways.  I cannot even remember how many hours was spent on this model, but then, that is the only way to learn. 

I have created it with an adjustable angle in order to help make it easier to pick fruit at different heights with a fixed length rod.  I have also designed it in a way where it has “fingers” catching the fruit that you want to pick by just putting it around the fruit and pushing upwards.  The edges also comes quite sharp straight off the printer which helps improve the ease of picking the fruit.

To make life easier and allow for multiple fruit to be picked at the same time, I have added a pouch securing ring with which you can then attach a bag like a shopping bag for instance, to catch the fuit as you pick them.  That also allows for multiple fruit to be picked before you have to lower the picker and empty the bag.

I have made it quite big to allow for picking most medium sized fruit and even up to most subtropical and tropical sized fruit.  I was considering to make another model of reduced size to help with the smaller fruit, but with the “fingers” being not too far apart, it can handle smaller sized fruit than what I thought.  So let's see, if the interest is enough, I might just add the smaller model as well.

Additional material needed:

• 3 x 6mm bolts with nuts to secure the handle to the picker and to the pool cleaning pipe
• 4mm bolt with nut to tighten the pouch securing ring.

You might consider using wing nuts or similar to help with easy hand tightening.
