The windscreen centre pod is a good place to attach a dashcam but the covers are quite thin, they aren't flat in the centre and i found creaked annoyingly if a camera was just stuck onto them.  This attachment clips around the pod and just needs a small amount of double sided tape or bluetac to stop it sliding.

I suggest enough perimeters to make the sides solid, I use PETG just to get slightly better heat resistance but it may not matter.
