I swear by the Trianglelab filament runout sensor, but its one shortcoming is that it doesn't grip a bowden tube at the entry/exit, which means it's a pain in the ass for feeding / removing filament if you don't hold the whole lot together. In some cases this is worked around by where it's mounted, but I couldn't find a good way to do this for my Voron 0.1, so I created this holder to allow you to have a proper bowden coupler at each end.
The sensor is attached to the mount with two M3x12 bolts directly into the plastic. If drilled out this may also work as a through mount with longer bolts depending on your use case.
When attached, insert around 12mm of bowden tube into each end of the sensor to seal between the bowden coupler and the internal path on the sensor.
Next insert the two bowden couplers - depending on your print quality these may thread in, or need to be threaded with a bit of force into the plastic.
I'm attaching the whole thing to the back panel of my Voron 0.1 using VHB tape. If you want to adapt the mount for other fixings, STEP and F3D files are provided.
