I designed this to deal with a garbage disposal remote that claims to be waterproof, but isn't. After the first remote rusted on me, I got Amazon to replace the item. Other than the bad waterproofing I really liked the remote, and I wanted to be able to use it without rusting again.

To that end, I designed this case that should make it much harder for water to get onto the remote when pushing the button with wet hands. As an extra layer of waterproofing, I wrapped the remote in plastic wrap before putting it in the case.

For reference, the brand of garbage disposal remote I bought is "Treeup" but I believe the same remote is sold under a few brand names.
