We made this curved octopus for a sculpture at our hackerspace, and one of our artists added a paintbrush and started wearing it on her hair. I posted it to Facebook that night, and had a bunch of girls tell me "I WANT ONE!", so here it is on Thingiverse. :)

I will eventually edit 2 opposing tentacles to be closed loops for holding a chopstick, but for now the original octopus STL works just fine.

1: Size up octopus STL to as big as will fit on a Cupcake's build platform. You might go a bit larger to get beefier tentacles if you'd like.

2: Get a roundish, heat resistant object to form the finished product with. We used an antique light bulb, but an old metal doorknob might also be a good choice, as you can probably heat up the doorknob.

3: Begin VERY slowly heating up the octopus with your heat gun until the tentacles droop down and conform to the shape of your round thing. This should take a very long time... if you do it too quickly you risk completely melting some of the thinner sections of the tentacle, or ending up with a 90 degree bend in the middle of one of them.

3.5: Paint it. (optional)

4: Place over bun and secure with a chopstick, paintbrush, or whatever.

5: Get ready for all the "Where did you get that?!" questions that you're going to get from strangers.
