Summary
I wanted to have an easily buildable conversion of the lidl glider, with:
- removable wings
- elevon style control surfaces
- printable parts
The final product flies really well. On full throttle its kind of a tiny pylon racer. On half or no throttle it is still very stable and controllable, like a glider.
I printed it from PLA, but I'm going to have another "kit" from PETG.
Motor mount: created for motors with 9x9mm screw holes
Wing support + push rods: 1mm carbon rod (snappers and pushrod supports are sized for this diameter)
Elevon: glued in a 4mm carbon tube (elevon tubes with control horns are sized for this diameter)
Update (2024.11.16.):
-added elevon_tubing_4.0_diameter_v2.stl with increased gluing surface for the control horn
-added snapper_1.0_diameter_v2.stl (one arm snapper) and snapper_lock.stl (basically a nut) for easier, better prints (needs no support)
