This is a battery connector that came from Radio Shack RC toys. I have old batteries and charger so I have used these for power supplies in projects. I still use the connectors. Maybe this would be something others that salvage old parts would have use of.

It uses the standard pin inserts that are used in PC power supplies and other connectors. The connector has a tab that will securely clip to the mating connector. The base is enlarged to assist in disconnecting the connector and also provides a larger base surface for 3D printing.

The design files are included in the downloads if you wish to make modifications.

This is designed to not require supports. A picture is provided showing the orientation on the print bed.

Test fit the connector before inserting pins. This fits snugly so I did a little scraping with an Exacto knife on the interior plug surfaces to remove any artifacts and to get the right fit I wanted. If the mating connector has a clip, it should snap onto the new printed connector.

The pin inserts are the same as found on PC power supplies and other terminals. These can also be found online at Digi-Key or Mouser. Or you can salvage them from used connectors. If you reuse connector, make sure the tabs are straightened as shown in the picture.

Connect the power wiring to the pins.

Insert the pins in the connector.
