This solves a basic kitchen goof: I put the electric kettle on to fill from my RO filtered water dispenser, and whilst merrily doing other kitchen duties I am alerted to the kettle being full as the counter becomes flooded with water. On the rare occasion when that might still happen, the water will at least go into the sink and I'll hear something.
I should probably not be so absent-minded but at least this has me spending less time moving things out of the flood then mopping up...
How I Designed This
Designed in FreeCAD 0.18
I started with a simple circle in Part Design and padded it. Then I created a new body with a closed B-spline for the rim and did a revolution for 360 degrees, and switched to the Part workbench and created a fusion with the basic disk.
To create the spout cutter, I created a new body in Part design with a closed (periodic) B-spline in the XZ plane for the inside part, another sketch (note that you have to unselect the new sketch else create sketch takes you back into sketch edit) with the outside bit (also in XZ), and a third sketch in YZ with a path for the pipe to follow (using an open B-spline by control points). You'll have to select the second XZ sketch and change the Attachment coordinates to move it to the right position (outside the disk). Then I selected the inside sketch, selected the "sweep selected sketch along a path", for path to sweep along select your YZ path, then change transform mode to multisection and add your second XZ sketch as a section.
Now you have your pipe, switch back to Part workbench, highlight your fusion then Ctrl-select the spout cutter pipe, then Cut. That's it!
