I wanted a coin sorter for my junk drawer to eliminate the pile of change in the bottom of the drawer. I really liked the coin sorter at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:44852 , but I was just planning to stuff mine in the junk drawer and I didn't want to use that much plastic.
I also liked the ones at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3467834 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:499177 , but again they were way more than I needed.
So in order to save on plastic and minimize print time, I drew a new one. I have included the parameterized fusion 360 file so that it's easy to change the various dimensions to what you would prefer. The current version can be found at https://a360.co/2x4enub . You can download the latest version as well as view it in 3d. It doesn't have the labels and the full roll heights marked like the other designs. The slot sizes are set for Canadian coins. They are a little big to make it easy to get the coins in and out. If you like the coins to be held more snugly, just reduce "coinGap" to maybe 1.0 mm or 0.8 even.
The simplest way to modify the design to your liking to use the "modify ... change parameters" dialog in fusion360. You can change all the coin sizes, the additional gap around the coins, as well as the spacing between the coins.
The spacing is currently set to 5 times your 3d printer linewidth, and the thickness of the base is set to 7 times your layer height. You should enter these values in the change parameters dialog as well.
