After much trial and error I finally have a silencer that is better at suppressing then my Silencer 16! Designed for .22 lr guns with a .5''-28 thread.
Improvement over the silencer 16 is tooth baffle apertures instead of smooth, causes better sound cancelation and withstands many more bullets via teeth wearing rather then the whole baffle ring warping and destructively failing. Have tested one with hundreds of bullets and it suffered only minimal wear!
Sound suppression was tested with a SW Victory with a Ridge-Lite threaded barrel. A Cellphone mic placed <200 yards away through snowy woods was used to record the sound profile. Federal 22LR 45 grain ammo was used. Unsuppressed produced -21.5±1.0 db with 9 shots, while suppressed produced 35.9±1.8 db with 11 shots, this comes to a sound power reduction of 96.4±1.5 %
