1. Introduction and Project Objective

This project presents the conceptualization and realization of a thematic keyring inspired by the artist Salmo (Maurizio Pisciottu). The main objective is twofold: to create a functional accessory that translates the distinctive visual identity and high-energy aesthetic of the artist into a compact format. Simultaneously, the project demonstrates the ability to apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to thematic merchandise.

2. Development and Technical Methodology

The design focuses on Salmo's core iconography, which is 3D modeled using CAD software to ensure geometric precision. The physical prototype is realized using simply PLA. There are two dimensions: Small is 78mm wide and Big is 104mm. Wide are optimized to balance visual impact with practical usability, making it a robust and manageable item.

3. Project Value and Demonstrated Skills

The final artifact is a strong proof of concept that highlights the skills in translating a complex brand into a tangible product. This project demonstrates proficiency in the following areas: Industrial Product Design, 3D Modeling and Rapid Prototyping, and the ability to solve technical challenges related to production constraints for small-scale items.
