I designed this front door panel for the FlashForge Creator 5 because I wanted a solution that did not require modifying the printer or drilling holes in the acrylic panel. It’s very simple: just print two hinges, a trim piece that fits between them, glue everything together, and attach it to the acrylic panel on the left side. I used 3M mounting tape on the hinges to keep them in place. Attach the handle to the acrylic, and place two 8mm magnets aligned with the screws from the printer. The only thing you need to do is remove the two trim pieces from the opening in the printer—pry them off with a thin kitchen knife since they are simply snapped in place. This ensures the panel sits flush and seals the printer.
Acrylic Panel: 362mm x 350.6mm x 3mm
