Notes
Some gluing required. Place a small dot of glue to the centre of the top surface of the dimmer slide. This will hold the rack in place during assembly. Once assembled the glue is redundant thus only a very small amount of glue is required. You don't want it to dribble down to the slide surface and ruin the action.
The scale needs to be glued in place, run a small bead down the centre of the back of the scale, place the scale in position, some duct tape may help to hold it in place while curing.
The slide dimmer needs to be mounted upside down, i.e. when the slide is up the lights go off. This is to compensate for the rack and pinion effect, when the knob is up the lights are on maximum brightness.
To assemble, first mount the slide dimmer to the wall with the rack in position. Move the rack to the centre of travel, move the dimmer lever to the centre position and then place the cover in place. This will ensure full span travel of the rack once mounted.
Two M3 machine screws, one 50mm with nylock nut for the lever and one 20mm long for the knob if an M3 heat insert is used. One can also glue the knob in position.
