The Space Distortion Sandwich was (as its name suggests) made by distorting space... in a graphing calculator. It consists of straight rods in a hyperbolically distorted space. This means that the rods should be very thin on the top and bottom of the model and infinitely thick in the middle (but they're not because the model is only a small cube shaped region of the infinitely large graph). I recommend printing this model on its side so that you don't have to remove so many supports.
The formula of this shape is cos(xz)+cos(yz)>1 for x, y and z from -5 to 5.
Math Models are graphs of mathematical relations that you can 3D print to bring them from the world of mathematics into real space, getting cool decorations. You can also download the stl files and use these models as part of your own 3D model.
A total of 8 models will come out over the course of 7 weeks, with the first two models having come out both duing the first week. Every Wednesday from June 3. until July 15. you can expect a new Math Model to be released.
The bgcode file is for printing the model out of PLA.
