I always keep a couple of tools inside my printer, just inside the front door. I got in trouble for doing this a few weeks ago when my I inadvertently placed my flashlight where it obstructed the downward movement of the bed and everything got out of alignment. It was a big headache.
If you are like me and prefer to keep some tools handy inside the printer, instead of hanging off the sides, you may find this tool tray helpful. It is the longest tray I could fit on a K1C bed, and it has a lip at the front to keep it from sliding into the printer. It is high enough to fit a few things but not interfere with the bed when it moves all the way down (don't overfill it) and it seals up the gap behind the display as well.
I recommend printing it in PETG or ABS as PLA might soften if you have a heated chamber. No supports are needed and I also recommend using aligned seams so you don't get that sandpaper-like surface if you use random.
It prints in two parts, one is the body and the other is the back. This was done to avoid any waste (supports) and you will have to glue them together using some CA glue.
