Summary

Only a knob for a wood handrail, diam. 50 mm

I had to finish a cylindrical wooden handrail, diameter 50 mm. Two aluminum knobs cost 40 €.
I made the model in thinkercad and printed them with a Creality K1 in ABS, 4 perimeters, 25% infill.
For the assembly I first fixed the base to the end of the handrail with epoxy glue, also to seal the head fibers of the wood, and then I used a nail.
The pommel is fixed to the base with epoxy glue, and held in place with tape until it has set.
I didn"t look for a design that could be taken apart. Given the cost and time of realization, I think that when I have to change them it will be easier to break the old knob with two chisel strokes and put a new one.
