Hello friend, a few notes about building and assembling this case:
This case is designed for mouses with maximum dimensions of:
Length 100 mm, Width 67 mm, Height 44 mm.Also: the lock is only a design feature and has no structural strength after printing. To secure the lid you must use four magnets (3 mm diameter × 2 mm height).
I printed the parts separately using ABS filament. I recommend setting infill to 20% and the number of wall layers to 4. Do not print all parts together as a single piece.
Assembly steps:
Lightly sand the hinge shaft after printing. Glue one of the pins into the end of one hinge, place the
hinge in its position, then glue the other pin on the opposite side. The grooves on the edges are for placing a gasket to reduce water and dust ingress and to improve fit/quality (note: the case will not be waterproof). To make a custom gasket you only need hot glue and a cutter. The procedure is straightforward: apply hot glue along the edge of both parts, try to fill the groove completely, wait for the glue to cool and harden, then trim excess with a cutter so the surface is flush.
Next, clear out the circular recesses on the edge and place four magnets (3 mm diameter × 2 mm height) and glue them in place. If the magnets do not fit after printing, widen the recess slightly with a screwdriver or similar tool.
Finally, you can line the inside of the case with foam if you wish.
I hope your mouse never get damaged.
In hope of a free and prosperous world for all countries and ethnicities.
