This was my first model designed in OpenSCAD. It’s very simple, but it does the job nicely!

The project includes three parts:

• Spool holder

• Spool shaft

• Desoldering pump holder

The model is fully parametric, so you can easily adapt the dimensions to your own tools. The main parameters are:

• Outer shaft radius → matches the spool inner hole diameter

• Arm span → matches the spool width

• Panel width → matches the spool outer diameter

• Desoldering pump tip radius

• Desoldering pump body radius

Add a bit of clearance to each parameter (around 1 mm is usually enough) – it doesn’t need to be a tight fit.
