As an exercise, I used my phone and COLMAP photogrammetry to scan a sculpture my mom made few years ago. As shown in the attached photograph, the resemblance and the detail level obtained are pretty good!

Notes:

• the object needs significant enlargement to appear in the slicer
• Check whether the support structure is adequate - I lost the tips of Flipper's flippers.

Notes: 

I learnt how the scanned model is affected by shades and reflections (rather scan outdoors on a cloudy day as Tubers mention, which provides uniform lighting). Easy to fix using Blender or Meshmixer in this particular case.

The print shows slight horizontal lining, for which the selected print speed (50 mm/s specified in Cura; speed increased to 200% on machine) is likely to blame. Gotta learn patience.
