Made a tool to use to roughly align the sun or any other bright object for that matter within the camera frame. This slides in the camera hot shoe mount. the front box provides a shaddow with a bright spot in the center, the spot in the back is center point. Once the two are aligned you can switch over to live view to further refine the framing. Please don't look at the sun directly without approved safety gear.

There are two files:

• SolarAlign, the back spot is a slight hole. 
• SolarAlignOut, the back spot is raised. 

Fits in the cameras I have nicely but anything with a non standard hot/cold shoe mount might be a bit sung.

Made this specifically for the eclipse coming up in April for the US.

Print options I used:

• Place the model on either side
• Prusa Slicer- .2mm quality (MK3 for me)
• No supports needed
• Print time is about 20 minutes
