Here's my version of a "cable gland" for a Gardena connector on a 42mm hole in the tank.

The connector's threading remains a mystery; it appears to be 3/4", but this isn't the case due to the thread angle. In any case, it fits the original gray part visible in the photo.

I use an original gasket between the two connectors but a tpu gasket should be fine.
