Here we have a mod of the A07 mini sffpc case side panels.
When first building this PC, the panels were very close to the cpu and gpu fans, causing whistling. I added 6-32 by 7mm standoffs which dramatically helped with both the whistling, and the temps, however, since the side panels were now lifted without support, they would flex when moving the pc around the house or placing it in my laptop bag.
In my rough testing, this in combination with my front panel mesh seems to lower my temps an average of 10c.
Modeled by me, then printed on my Qidi XPlus III using stock settings for PLA Rapido.
Future revision plans:
A- When new front panel is extended out, side panel mod may need to be extended out 15mm to match new sizes.
B- If new side panel is designed to have the mesh spacing fill the entire side, the standoff will be integrated into the new panel.
Revision History
v1.0 - Repositioned holes to make fit on standoffs a bit more snug. This revision is considered "Final" Prototype for fitment.
v0.01 - Initial test : Made a rough test print with the hand measured dimensions to test fit printed panel on frame.
NOTE:
It may just be my side panels, but when I measured mine, but both left and right side had the same measurements. The holes for the screws on the top are 5mm down from the top edge. However, the bottom are 4.5 up from the bottom edge. .5mm might not make a big difference in your fitment if they end up 5mm from top and bottom, but be advised the difference in the measurement there is purposeful as that's how my case presented to me.
