This is a replacement for the bottom plate that came with the gherkin kit. It serves 2 purposes:

• makes the keyboard a bit shorter overall

• allows to see the PCB when looking at the keyboard from the bottom I did the fittings by eyeballing and using my caliper so some screws may be a tenth or two of a mm off. That said I was able to screw the 16 screws within any issues.
  Note that without the bottom rubber dome feet the keyboard may sit too low to plug the usb cable.
