It might seem like this version is a step backward because it went from 8g (in V3) to 9g (this version), but this is actually for a very important reason: I missed a crucial detail about structural integrity in V3. I will explain what I changed (it is pretty obvious if you just look at it, lol).
I have completely redesigned the structural support of this frisbee. In V3, the center of the frisbee (flight plate) was very heavily supported, and the rim was basically untouched. But now, the opposite is true: the flight plate is completely unsupported, and the rim is heavily supported by 12 little vertical supports radially spread out around the outside of the rim.
Why does this help? When the frisbee impacts a flat surface, it needs to bend in order to absorb the impact over time. But if the flight plate is very rigid, then it can't yield, which means the only part that can is the rim itself. But because the rim bends and the flight plate doesn't, it basically just cracks along the layer line between the rim and the flight plate. Secondly, the rim tends to be the first to bend/break in the first place, because the rim can technically be viewed as a structural support of the flight plate (because it is perpendicular to the flight plate, therefore making the flight plate more solid and taking more of the force). Therefore, I should instead support the opposite part: the rim, not the flight plate. And this is what I did. Enjoy this updated, much stronger frisbee/floater!
