Summary
I purchased an RGB UST (ultra-short throw) laser projector with a 120 inch ALR (ambient light rejecting) screen. I mounted the screen where I thought looked right, then needed to lift the project to a precise height to fit the projected image to the screen.

As assembled, it was too low by about 4 inches. I thought about my options for lifting to the right height and settled on designing and 3D printing foot extensions.
For strength, I printed in ABS instead of PLA with a 20% quarter-cubic infill.

Notes:
- I printed on the metal side of the printing plate instead of the plastic textured one
- Before printing, I cleaned the surface with 91% alcohol then sprayed an even coat of Garnier Fructis across the surface
- I performed a normal (long) leveling before the first print, and fast leveling for each additional print (I left the build plate in place between prints to reduce the need for more severe leveling)
- I wasn't sure if the glue (hair) spray would hold for all 6 prints, but it was not a problem
- Nozzle temp was 220 and plate temp was 110 for layer 1 and 100 for layer 2+
- I left the build plate cool down to < 60 before removing the piece (it had usually loosened itself)
How I Designed This
- I measured one of the table's feet with a digital caliper.
- I also measured the amount of lift needed to raise the UST projected image to fit the mounted ALR screen.
- I designed the cylinder to fit snuggly around the foot by leaving about 0.5mm additional diameter for fit tolerance, then sinking four 1.0mm rods half-way into the cylinder in four places to grip the feet firmly but still be removable
- I decided on a 6mm cylinder wall thickness, and used the same figure for the thickness and additional diameter of the pad at the bottom
