Ikea does not supply a cover for this and I thought it looked a bit ugly especially against a black background.

Pin goes in the middle, snug fit. it needs a bit of push around the edges.
optionally you can make the pin in the middle 1 mm thicker but that makes it really tight and makes the middle pin the one holding it to the door. In this model the middle pin is more of a guideline, still keeps it in place but the edges keep it tight.
