Swivel stand assembly for a Levoit Core 300 allowing the air output to be directed as desired.
Even though I designed it around my Core 300-P, the clamp ring assembly should fit any cylindrical air filter with a body diameter of approx 219mm.
All the STL's should be properly oriented for printing. I printed mine in PLA but PETG would be better, especially for the clamp ring, at 4 walls with 25% adaptive cubic infill.
For the printed parts you will need:
- Filter Bracket-Strap: 4
- Filter Bracket-Block: 2
- Filter Stand-Cap: 2
- Filter Stand-Knob: 2
- Filter Stand-Leg: 2
- Filter Stand-Feets: 2
For hardware:
- m5 heat inserts: 8
- m5 nuts: 10
- m5x16 bolts: 8
- m5x20 bolts: 4
- m5x65 bolts: 2
- m5x80 bolts: 4
To assemble, first the (4) heat set inserts go into the Legs. The Feet and Caps attach to the legs with the (8) m5x16 bolts.
Next join the Straps into the clamp ring halves using the (4) m5x20 bolts. The (4) m5x80 bolts are used to connect the two clamp ring halves by passing them through the Blocks. Insert the (2) m5x65 bolts from the inside of the clamp ring blocks before putting the clamp ring on the filter.
Once you have the clamp ring around the air filter, tighten the nuts on the the 80mm bolts until the clamp ring grips the filter body with enough force to keep it from slipping freely within the clamp ring. Adjust each nut incrementally in turn to avoid uneven clamping.
Finally, the assembled legs attach to the clamp ring with the Caps sliding on to the 65mm bolts protruding from the clamp ring and held in place with the Knobs, which have a pocket for one nut each.
Use the knobs to adjust the swivel tension as needed.
I've found the (2) m5x65 bolts don't need any additional fixing in place once a little tension from the knobs is applied. Washers may be desirable between the clamp ring, legs, and knobs to help them each rotate independently of the others.
