A cargo hatch for a model ship. I designed this as part of building of a 1:87 (H0 scale) model of Wejherowo cargo ship.

The hatch frame bottom is slightly curved to fit onto the curved deck of the ship. I broken down the frame into two identical parts to fit the printer bed. Frame is best printed upside-down.

The individual door panels can be mounted closed as a surface for inter-modal containers or slid to the ends of the rails and rotated up to model an open cargo hold.

The door panels have indentions for mounting Piko or Walthers style containers with pegs. As the complete model shows, the panels should be mounted in alternating direction to accommodate four rows of four 20' containers or four rows of two 40' containers on the surface of the hatch.
