Inspired by the cow scratchers you see in the cattle barn.
2 rotating brushes around a centre spindle giving your tort full control of his scratching.
The centre spindle needs to be strong because torts are stronger than you'd expect (don't ask me how I know).
0.2 layer height.
Use 5 walls with 90% gyroid infill for the centre spindle. This seems a lot I know but trust me on this.
Use 3 walls with 30% gyroid infill for the mount.
Use random seam for the brushes, for everything else, scarf seams work well.
Assembly
After printing, press the shear tool into the end of the brush support tube. Don't twist it - just press it slowly all the way down the length of the brush until all the bristles have been sheared off. It may help to tap the end of the shear tool with a small mallet.
Slide the brushes over the spindle. They should spin freely.
Put some CA glue into the hole in the mount and slide the end of the spindle into the hole and allow to cure (be careful not to get glue under the brushes else they will stick too).
Mount in your desired location.
