After my previous variable power supply got destroyed, I set out to build a new one that’s stronger, sturdier, and safer for the wires—no more risk of short circuits. This is my first time using heat inserts and screws, so while the build works perfectly, there are some minor cosmetic imperfections. I see this as a skill issue on my part, and I hope more experienced makers could easily achieve a cleaner finish.
This power supply includes:
12 V, 5 V, and 3 V fixed outputs
Variable power supply output
I designed the fuses to sit on the sides, keeping the front panel clean and uncluttered. I also invested in a better switch and USB sockets, which were the source of problems in my previous build. These components are carefully chosen and matched for this design.
Overall, the unit is functional, safe, and designed with both performance and aesthetics in mind.
