The improvements over the model that comes with the printer are: 1- Give a look to the printer to be smaller. 2- The spool is easier to apply and remove. 3- easier to transport. The stick is removed and can be attached below the circle with notches I've done. 4- I've tried it and run perfect. 5- The projections do you have less friction with the spool and turn more easily
