I tend to paint small and or misshapen objects, so standard painters pyramids are not as helpful as could be hoped. The shorter design with more vertices (points) helps to not only keep the object being painted off the newspaper but also allows for quicker and easier placement for small or odd shaped objects.

The cones (pyramids) are hollow so they are stackable.

The include SCAD file was written to allow for customizations.

Sample STL files are published but the ones I use most are the 4x5 short cones or 2x2 tall. The cutout (void) option does save about 1/4-1/3 of the material. Another thing to note is that these take longer to print that standard painters pyramids but for me the time is worth it.
