Installation instructions
STEP 1: ... disassembling the wireless keyboard
First of all you have to disassemble the keyboard case and battery. Only the board and the key-slice will be used. To open the case, open the screws and gently pull on the edges to get the keyboard-board out. All plastic parts can be wasted, we only need the insides ;-)
STEP 2: ... soldering parts together
Now we have to solder everything together. First of all connect two wires to the "Adafruit Power Boost 1000" and the small "powerswitch". I used a green and black cable.
Next give 5V power and ground to the keyboard. On the board there is already a point where you can solder a red an black cable (USB power). The other side goes to the "Power Boost" on 5V and ground.
Next we have to give power to the raspberry. Since we are using a "Display Kippah" to control the LCD we can slice power from this shield, through the GPIO-Pins, to the raspberry pi. To manage this simply connect a red "5V" and a black ground cable to the corresponding pins on the Kippah. The other side goes straight to the "Power Boost".
Now comes the harder part: Soldering a jack for the USB-dongle to connect the keyboard to the raspberry. To achieve this, i followed a tutorial (TODO: add link)
