Summary
2 Hangers to easily hang and dismount your RC plane on your wall.
I just learned how to use OpenSCAD to make this part customizeable! This is my first OpenSCAD/customizer part so let me know if I'm missing something or if the parameters arent creating the file properly. I'd love feedback!
By default the part is made to be used with my parkzone f4u corsair but it can be made to fit any plane wheels with the customizer!
Default Total Wheel width (including axle parts)- 1.15 in
Default Wheel Diameter (to fit within slot) - 1.90 in
Also make sure the wheel style is the same for it to fit through the slot properly (Wheel is attached to a L shaped rod) thought I think its probably the most common if not the only wheel type for RC planes in general (I only own one so idk lol). Look at pictures for reference.
Instructions
Customizer Steps - all units in mm
Part - you can choose for which wheel you want to create the holder for. I suggest creating it for one to test fit it before printing the other.
Diameter- the diameter of your planes wheels
Width- this is the width of your wheel plus the width of what the axle going through it takes up.
Nail Diameter- diameter of the nail/screw you will be using to hang the hanger. A bit of extra distance should be added to compensate for the printer offset.
Tolerance-this is the extra space added to the width and diameter to allow a easy fit for the wheel
axle_clearance- this is the diameter of the axle plus some extra distance to allow the axle to fit easily. This should be left unless your axle is greater than 8mm
Print/Setup steps
- Print parts for each wheel.
- Hold plane on wall where wanted and mark around wheels for hanger locations.
- Make sure hangers are horizontaly leveled and nail them through the top hole.
